Best customs modifications on Indian cars

Today we are going to show you some of the best customized Indian cars.

1. Maruti Suzuki 800 (by JS Designs)

Mr. Jagjit Singh, the man behind JS Designs, took 3 years to complete this project. The design and bodywork of the Maurti 800 has been changes completely. Painstaking effort has gone into giving this car a high end finish and fit. The front grille of the car has been removed to give this car a much cleaner look. Also, the standard headlamps have been replaced and instead of them Fiat Palio’s headlamps have been installed. The Maruti 800 convertible comes with all new windscreen, bonnet, front bumper and A-pillars.
Two doors have been wipes off the Maruti 800 in this version. The entire characters of the side profile of the car has been changed by the additional of faux but stylish air vents and creases. The rear of the car has also been totally reworked. The Maruti 800 convertible looks really stylish and classy with its racy red finish.

2. Extremely Modified Mahindra XUV500 (By Hot Machines )

This XUV 500 has taken modifications to an extreme level. Some of the modifications on it are, a full-body matte black vinyl wrap, a unique front grille, huge non-functional Air-scoops on the hood and a huge roof scoop too. It also has an off-road style roll cage/body protection bars and also a snorkel air-intake system which makes this SUV look like an off road ready beast.
The XUV has also been equipped with an electric winch on the front end, exposed recovery shackles, convex ORVM on bonnet edge (Land cruiser style), LED light bar right across the windscreen, LED spot lights, rear ladder, jerry can, hi-lift jack and F1 type brake lamps underneath the body, among others.

All these modifications are not as extreme as the wide monster truck tires fitted to this car. The wheels are so wide that they cut outside the bodyline of the XUV by a good 6-7 inches, which is very, very wide indeed almost truck-like. Though this might make the XUV look like a monster, it also has its own disadvantages. The size and additional weight of the wheels and the additional friction caused by the extra wide tires puts additional stress on the drive-train components like the clutch, the differential, the gearbox as well as the engine, but it seems as though the XUV is taking it all in its stride and the car has been running without problems, though the top speed, acceleration and fuel efficiency figures have all definitely dropped.
These extreme modifications were carried out by Hot Machines, an Auto accessories store located in Bangalore and the XUV can often be found in and around Kammanahalli, in Bangalore.

9. Tata Safari

Big Daddy Customs, a well-established and popular company that is into modifying cars, has now worked on Tata Safari. Though you may find the modified European luxury crossover a little out of your budget, you won’t be able to overlook it for sure. There are several changes in the design of this modified Tata Safari. However, these changes work well together to make this car a premium product.Though the modified Tata Safari may not be able to compete the Ranger Rovers or Audi’s as far as the styling and design are concerned. But it is vital for you to know that this modified car costs much less than the ones being manufactured by the above mentioned automakers.
Consider the Range Rover Evoque, for example. This car can cost you nearly Rs. 55 Lacs in the Indian market. On the other hand, the Tata Safari modification by Big Daddy Customs will cost you just Rs. 8 Lacs. The modification process consumes about 3 to 4 months to complete. Though the modified Tata Safari may not have the same looks as that of a replica of one of the premium, high end crossovers. Nonetheless, the car is good enough to grab the attention when it passes on the road.

10.Maruti Esteem
We all love the Bugatti Veyron but how many of us can afford it? Probably one in a million can or even less. But it is not that difficult to modify your old car to look like one. And what better than our very own Maruti Suzuki Esteem to play host to the modification. Today we have for you a customised Maruti Esteem that has been converted into a Bugatti Veyron by our country’s very own SF CARZ (Hyderabad).
So let us tell you how it is done! The modified/customised cars are built from fiber glass. Donor cars are the ones who play host to the modifications (Esteem in this case) and the MODIFIED CARS are built around the donor cars. How good the replica is and how good the quality of the replica is depends on the custom builders. A company as good as DC can modify your original car to look like an all new car whereas local customisers through out the country will fetch you replicas of supercars you can’t own around a donor car.
Customisations vary from an overhaul of the engine to merely adding a new body on top of them. Customisers who are in the game for a long haul usually go in for tuning of engines as well alongside physical modifications so as to enable the engine take on the additional modifications.
